Here, There, and Everywhere is a free, monthly newsletter by The Ambrose, featuring updates here at the hotel, as well as interesting events around town.

Not quite summer, but warm enough to pretend, we welcome back May. We celebrate the endless hours of daylight by dusting off our hiking boots and heading for the hills, we find a new and inspiring way of looking at very old things, and give thanks to all the artists who have come before us. We remember the words of environmentalist and writer Edwin Way Teal, 'The world's favorite season is the spring. All things seem possible May' and we agree.

Last month The Ambrose was added to the growing list of more then 20 area businesses that are participating in Los Angeles Metro’s Transit Access program. In an effort to lower employee commuting costs and in honor of our commitment to sustainability, all Ambrose team members are eligible for this new addition to our benefits package. For more information on how you and your company can get involved please visit www.metro.net.

Urban Nature Week
May 14-20th 2007
Benefiting the Children's Nature Institute

Help provide free environmental education programs to underprivileged children by participating in the Urban Nature Walk-a-thon!

On Saturday, May 19th Los Angeles’ biggest nature walk will help participants discover one of the city's most beautiful natural areas: the 605-acre Franklin Canyon Park near Coldwater Canyon and Mulholland. It will also be a significant fundraiser for The Children's Nature Institute, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, whose mission is to educate young children through interactive experiences with nature, and to inspire a sense of respect and responsibility for the natural environment.

Can't attend the event? No problem! You may still participate as a "Virtual Walker." Simply register and fundraise online to make a difference from anywhere in the country.

Participants of all ages will enjoy a fun, educational nature walk while raising money for environmental education programs, including programs serving 8,000 underprivileged children annually. Walking or running around the park's Franklin Canyon Lake and Heavenly Pond, participants may take breaks at the fun activity stations along the walk route. Following the walk, walkers will enjoy activities, snacks and music.

To register as a walker for the Urban Nature Walk-a-thon or for more information, visit www.urbannatureweek.org or call (310) 860-9484.
